7 decades of producing perennial fashion, 7 decades of catering to the wandering spirits. If you think that we already bid good bye to the retro looks decades ago, you’re wrong! This year marks the 70th year of Wrangler and I was definitely in awe when I saw their anniversary collection as it took the 1970s by storm with their iconic, revolutionary denim and authentic retro looks. This is, indeed, nostalgia at its very best.


Wrangler was the definitive denim brand for teenagers back in this style-setting decade; so the anniversary collection has been artfully inspired by the brand’s notable archive finds-- reinventing the most popular ‘70s styles for today’s young spirits with a passion for life and all of its adventures.



With its retro feels, Wrangler has come up with a rainbow logo-- a symbol of confidence, exuberance, and freedom, traits that are intrinsic to Wrangler’s brand’s persona. In this collection, trademark Wrangler basics are back and are better than ever. The label has tapped into the editorial ‘70s imagery for inspiration and has re-launched the vintage Kabel font logo. It also includes bold, colourful tees that feature variations of the iconic ‘70s Wrangler rainbow, and signature staples in vibrant hues with the iconic retro seventies cuts. I can definitely sense new fashion statement and trend coming its way with their new collection. The next thing you’ll see on your Instagram feed is a new pair of denim flared jeans with statement logo tees!


As we explore the collection, we rediscovered the different fits of jeans and other bottom wears both for men and women. There are the regular and tapered fits for men, and retro straight silhouettes, seventies flares, and pin-up shorts for women. The ‘70s collection denim comes in authentic stone washes and brighter shades of blue. And to complement this, the ‘70s Wrangler rainbow is printed on tees and sweatshirts. Even the hems are given a new burst of life with a fun rainbow or golden selvedge.


In addition, the memorable milestone that is its birthday, is celebrated with a premium collection for men that pay homage to the iconic brand designs and silhouettes.

The war of man versus ape continues to rage on as Mossimo, one of the country’s favorite casual wear brands, kicks off the Fall 2017 season with a capsule collection featuring its first collaboration with FOX International through Mossimo X War for the Planet of the Apes.


  

Most of us started to rave upon finding out that one of the best all time movies will start showing in theaters! Who would want to miss out another Planet of the Apes movies that 
created a cult following and being a box office success not only in Hollywood but around the world?! But sadly, I did miss the premier screening of this but will definitely catch it in theaters this weekend.
            



With Mossimo's branding, the look and feel of the movie did greatly complement their Fall 2017 collection. The capsule collection features a line of comfy tees and pullovers, 100% cotton unisex tops, with eight graphic designs that continue to tell the tale of the ongoing battle between the humans and their primate counterparts. Poignant scenes and iconic, artful slogans from the movie are the highlights and will definitely catch the eyes of faithful Planet of the Apes fans and Mossimo aficionados alike.

            

With over the years trends that would definitely be a big hit this season, it is a fun update to safari-inspired clothing, the collections play around with earthy tones, black camou, and fatigue prints that are not only up to trend but also extremely comfortable and wearable. Pieces are still reminiscent of streetwear but offer that high street look and feel that avid Mossimo fans know and love.
